How it works

Discovery

I start by understanding your business, your customers, and what you actually need the website to do.

Design

I design in-house — working through the layout, look, and structure before a line of code is written.

Build

I develop the site from scratch. No themes, no page builders — just clean code built around your design.

Review

You get to see everything and give feedback before anything goes live. No surprises.

Launch

I handle the technical side of launch and make sure everything is set up correctly from day one.

Tools I use

I pick the right tool for the job — not the trendiest one. Here's what I reach for most.

FAQ

Common questions.

Honest answers about how I work, what things cost, and what to expect.

How much does a custom website cost? +
Project pricing depends on scope, page count, and complexity. Most small business websites fall between $3,000 and $15,000. Larger projects with custom functionality, e-commerce, or extensive content systems run higher. Every project gets a detailed proposal with fixed pricing — no hourly surprises.
How long does it take to build a website? +
A typical small business website takes 3 to 6 weeks from kickoff to launch. The first week is discovery and content gathering, the next 2-3 weeks are design and revisions, and the final week or two is development, testing, and launch. Larger projects with custom features take longer — we set a realistic timeline together at the start.
Do you use WordPress or templates? +
No. Every site I build is custom-coded from scratch — no WordPress, no Wix, no Squarespace, no off-the-shelf themes. That means faster load times, better SEO, no plugin bloat, and a site that's genuinely yours rather than something thousands of other businesses are also using.
Do you do SEO? +
Yes. SEO isn't an add-on — it's built into how every site is structured from the start. Clean semantic HTML, proper heading hierarchy, schema markup, page speed optimization, and mobile-first responsive design are all part of the work. I also set up Google Search Console and analytics so you can see what's working.
Are you only available for Chattanooga businesses? +
No. I'm based in Rossville, Georgia (just across the state line from Chattanooga) and serve clients across the United States. The home market is the I-75 corridor, but most communication happens via email, Zoom, and shared project tools. Being in the same city isn't a requirement.
What about hosting and ongoing maintenance? +
I handle deployment and hosting setup as part of every project, typically on Railway, Vercel, or Cloudflare Pages — all of which are fast, reliable, and inexpensive. For ongoing maintenance, I offer flexible retainers depending on what you need: content updates, security monitoring, performance audits, or just on-call support when something needs attention.
