The Challenge

Rick Senninger had earned three National Awards for Excellence, published an interdisciplinary white paper, written a book, and developed a clinical method over decades of practice — and had no website that reflected any of it. Without a professional web presence, referrals had nowhere to land. The gap between his credentials and his online footprint was actively costing him clients.

The Approach

Three full design iterations to find the right register: authoritative without being cold. The final palette — harvest gold (#C9952A) and deep purple (#4A2259) on near-black (#0E0A18) — came directly from the TIP brand and the aesthetic of the National Award itself. Every page is built around one goal: moving a qualified visitor toward a call.

Richard “Rick” L. Senninger, CGC, CHt is the creator of the Transforming Individual Performance (TIP) Hypnosis Method — a clinical hypnotherapist, certified grief counselor, 3x National Award-winning counselor, published scholar, and author of 10,000 Funerals – 5 Minute Life Lessons. Based in Orlando, FL, Rick runs a private, limited-clientele practice serving executives, athletes, business owners, first responders, and college students.

The brief

Rick needed a website that matched the standing of his practice. He had a strong referral network but nowhere to send people — nothing online that reflected the caliber of his work or the depth of his credentials. The brief: establish credibility immediately, explain the TIP Method clearly, make it easy to get in touch, give Rick a home for his research and media presence, and build a storefront to extend the brand beyond the practice itself.

What I built

Eight pages covering every dimension of Rick’s practice and growing brand:

  • Homepage — Opens with an animated gold triangle bokeh hero. Two feature cards communicate the practice at a glance: what clients typically experience after one session, and why they choose TIP Hypnosis. A featured research section promotes Rick’s white paper, Life After Life? — Constrained Mosaic Convergence (CMC) Method, and an “As Featured In” media bar anchors the bottom.
  • Meet the Founder — A full biography covering Rick’s credentials and professional memberships: American Hypnosis Association, American Psychological Association, National Guild of Hypnotists, International Association of Interpersonal Hypnosis, and the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University.
  • Services — Fifteen services across three pillars: Individual Performance Enhancement, Transforming Relationships, and Death, Life & Tomorrow.
  • Events — Upcoming appearances with dedicated booking and media contact details.
  • TIP TV — Rick’s video podcast hub. Currently airing: The Questions that Meet Answers Podcast. CTAs to watch on YouTube and book Rick as a guest.
  • Media — A full speaking and press hub: Request for Engagement form, media bio, 1-sheet, 2-page producer sheet, and headshots available post-agreement.
  • Contact — A four-step booking flow built around human connection. “No machines, no chatbots, no AI — just personal attention from a listening professional.”
  • Books & Resources — Two sections: free guided audio downloads (Anxiety & Restlessness, Sleep Rest Rejuvenation, Confidence) available to anyone, and a full merchandise store — Apparel, Drinkware, Books — powered by Printify for fulfillment and Stripe for checkout, with the backend running on Railway.

Design approach

The color palette — harvest gold (#C9952A) and deep purple (#4A2259) on near-black (#0E0A18) — came directly from the TIP brand colors and the visual language of Rick’s National Award. That wasn’t a coincidence. When a client has a physical credential that establishes authority, the design should borrow from it.

Typography was just as deliberate. Cinzel for display headings, Cormorant Garamond for body text. Both have classical roots — Cinzel is derived from Roman inscription letterforms, Cormorant Garamond from one of the most significant typefaces in Western printing. For a practice built on decades of expertise and three national recognitions, that weight of history matters. Typography communicates before you read a word.

Three full iterations before the final version landed. The first established content hierarchy — getting the eight-page structure right before touching the visuals. The second introduced the dramatic gold triangle bokeh hero and placed the award trophy front and center, answering the visitor’s trust question in the first second. The third locked in the typefaces, refined the founder page, and extended the site into its full scope: TIP TV, the media hub, the dual-purpose storefront, and Railway deployment.
